Harbor Springs is a resort community with residents and visitors who enjoy the city’s tranquil environment. This brochure is provided so everyone can enjoy Harbor Springs, whether they live here year round or are visiting. Use common courtesy and respect the neighborhood where you are staying to ensure an enjoyable experience for all.

Don’t Be A Nuisance, Be a Neighbor!
Be responsible and show respect to your neighbors by following these rules.
NOISE Quiet hours are between 11 PM and 7 AM.
PARKING Renters and guests must park in the garage, carport or driveway of the property, unless there isn’t a driveway or garage. Do not park any vehicles in the yard.
TRASH Trash and refuse shall not be stored within public view and can only be placed in proper containers for collection.
FIREWORKS are not permitted on short term rental properties, except on select federal holidays.
PETS Dogs must be leashed or obedient to the voice commands of their owner. Pet owners shall pick up and dispose of pet waste in proper waste receptacles.
FIREPITS must be constantly attended until the fire is extinguished. Keep fire pits as far away from neighboring homes as possible. Smoke from the use of an outdoor fire pit shall not create a nuisance upon a neighbor’s property.
Problems & Complaints
The City has a 24-hour police presence.
Neighbors can and will report Code violations and our police officers will respond. All complaints are investigated and can result in hefty fines.
Failure to comply may result in a citation, fines or removal from the property for the renter or their guests.
